Description

The Sahyadria denisonii, commonly known as the Roseline Shark or Denisonii Barb, is a stunning freshwater fish native to fast-flowing rivers and streams in the Western Ghats of India.
It is celebrated for its sleek silver body, accented by a vibrant red stripe running from its snout to mid-body, and a bold black line extending to its tail.
Often reaching 4–6 inches in length, this peaceful, active species thrives in well-oxygenated aquariums with plenty of swimming space, making it a favorite for large community tanks.
Roseline Sharks prefer groups of six or more and exhibit their best colors and behavior in planted setups with clean, slightly soft to neutral water.
