The Canthigaster bennetti, commonly known as the Sharpnose Puffer or Bennett’s Puffer, is a small and charismatic saltwater fish found throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
This pufferfish is easily recognized by its compact body, elongated snout, and intricate patterns of blue and yellow spots and lines.
Typically reaching about 4 inches in length, it is a hardy and curious species, often seen exploring its surroundings.
While generally peaceful, the Sharpnose Puffer can exhibit nipping behavior, so care should be taken when housing it with delicate tankmates.
It thrives in well-maintained aquariums with plenty of rockwork for shelter and grazing opportunities.
